Short Bio: Alexandra grew up in London and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her undergraduate degree in history at UCLA. She stuck around for the weather and great ice cream, and is now completing her M.F.A. in screenwriting also at UCLA. Her debut novel, These Feathered Flames, releases Winter 2021 from Inkyard Press/HarperCollins. She loves writing in all formats, from novels to screenplays to graphic novels, always centring on fierce women and morally grey characters, often with a bit of magic and murder. When she’s not writing, she can be found baking, fangirling over her favourite books, or cuddling her kitten.
Logline #1: New Eden: When her mentor vanishes, psychology student Hanna Ward must dive back into the magical world she’s been running from to find her. Hanna investigates the clinic her mentor worked in—enlisting the help of some patients, from a vampire who won’t drink blood to an agoraphobic werewolf—to begin to uncover the rest of her mentor’s secrets, and the real reason behind her disappearance.
Logline #2: Sanctuary: A young socialite is forced to work with the new crime king of Sanctuary after a spell gone wrong leaves her with his dead father's voice in her head and a murder to solve.
Logline #3: The Innocents: Based on historical events, at the height of the Second World War, three teen girls in Nazi-occupied Holland hatch a plan to lure Nazi officials into the woods and kill them to aid resistance efforts.
