Short Bio: Bia Celani was born in Brazil but, as the daughter of an Architect and an Air Force Pilot, moving around became a normal part of childhood and a force of habit in adulthood. Having been “the new kid” one too many times, her writings often embrace themes of belongingness, unlikely friendships and cultural clash, all with humor. Before pursuing an MFA in Screenwriting at UCLA, Bia worked as a Researcher and Writer on several Documentary Series for HBO, National Geographic, and Vice Media.
