Short Bio: Born in Busan, South Korea and adopted into a Jewish family in Texas, Kianna realized life was complicated from an early age. She learned about the intersections of her life and the world by earning a degree in International Relations from Boston University. Kianna lived and studied in Tokyo and London before moving to Los Angeles in order to pursue her MFA in Screenwriting.
Within months of graduating from UCLA’s MFA program, Kianna worked as a Staff Writer on two YA shows that premiered in March 2020. The three episodes she penned have gained over nine million views.
