Bio:
Before moving to LA to pursue an MFA in Screenwriting at UCLA's School of Theater, Film and Television, Yashna worked in the world of Advertising and Digital Marketing, where she enjoyed telling compelling stories - using data, in 140 characters or less, or as press-releases.
She received her MSC in Integrated Marketing Communications at Northwestern University, and shortly after moved to New York City, where she has worked both on the agency and client side.
Back in India, Yashna has had the privilege of working with some very influential women - Young Entrepreneurs, Chefs, Restaurateurs and Social Workers who have made a difference in the world of education and the empowerment of women and differently-abled children. She continues to be inspired by these women, and wishes to be able to give voice to the unique perspective of Indian women on a dynamic, global platform through compelling and impactful storytelling.
Born and raised in Mumbai, India, Yashna has also worked in the capacity of Assistant Director and Production Assistant with some of India's biggest names in entertainment.
If Lord Voldemort could teach her how to make Horcruxes, she'd hide one each on a rooftop in New York City, a Chinese restaurant in Mumbai, the lake-fill in Evanston and a Boba-tea cafe in LA.

Helena moves from Mykonos to New York to grieve the death of her estranged Broadway-celebrity mother and search for her father, but when she finds eight letters left by her mother (each letter based on one of eight interpretations of love according to the Ancient Greeks), little does she know that her loss will give her a sense of identity and teach her important lessons about love, forgiveness, and letting go.

However, when her soulmate makes her wonder if she’d rather stay single for the rest of her life, Kurtis goes on a quest that tests the strength of this red thread theory.
