Lynelle White is originally from Freeport, New York and was that weird girl who brought an EMPIRE STRIKES BACK lunch box to school back when it wasn’t exactly cool for a girl to be into that sort of stuff. Before pursuing a second career as a television writer, she was an active duty pilot in the United States Air Force. Lynelle acquired over 2200 flying hours conducting air refueling and VIP transport in support of operations such as Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. Most of her flying career was uneventful except for that one time when her aircraft was struck by lightning or that other time in Saudia Arabia when she landed smack dab on top of a fox. Poor little guy never stood a chance.
Lynelle earned a B.S. in Engineering Science from the U.S. Air Force Academy with the intent of someday becoming an astronaut but now she’d rather just write about astronauts and skip all of that intense training. She was previously a staff writer on the Lifetime television drama ARMY WIVES and was more recently a staff writer on SyFy network’s hit zombie apocalypse show, Z NATION. Her most recent original television pilot entitled, FLY GIRLS, is about the often forgotten Women Air Force Service Pilots (WASPs) of World War II. The script can be described as BAND OF BROTHERS meets A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN. In addition to continuing to write for television, Lynelle also hopes to become a writer/director of independent feature films.
