Short Artist Statement: I was never someone who fit in, even my own family thought me exceedingly strange, which made stories where I belonged, where I found inspiration. Horror on screen also had a way of making my real life horrors less overwhelming and bearable. I want to tell stories that make the crazy of the real world seem a little less crazy, that comment on the things we don’t really talk about, but also transport us to something other worldly or psychologically engage us to escape the present. I want to tell stories that change us and shake us to our core.
Name three movies or TV shows that inspire you: Pulp Fiction, Eyes Wide Shut, Amelie.
