Short Bio: My Mom is from Colombo, Sri Lanka, and my Dad is an Irish-American playwright who grew up in Niantic, Connecticut in the 70s. I grew up in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico, learning Spanish while riding my bike around with the local kids. When I was 9 I carried around a poetry notebook everywhere I went, and besides being a filmmaker, I'd like to be a poet. I received my bachelor's degree at the University of Pennsylvania in Cinema Studies with a minor in French.
Short Artist Statement: I like to write in the tone, pacing, and color schemes of Wes Anderson with the dreaminess of Sofia Coppola.
Logline #1: MEOW: A 14 year old girl who loses her mother to suicide develops a coping mechanism which causes her to behave like a cat.
Logline #2: DEAD FLOWERS: After graduating university, an aspiring filmmaker moves home and grapples with her suicidal ideation, finding company in an imaginary cartoon skeleton.
Logline #3: THE ANIMALS: A young girl alongside other rowdy youngsters who live in a trailer park in the woods and done animal masks, must track down her grandmother's stolen diadem while also fending off the local wolf attacks.
